# Changelog: October 2026

> October 2026 Datamagnet API release notes: more profile data in every Person response, one shape for every list on the profile, and fixes to recommendation counts and dates.

<Update label="October 3, 2026" tags={["New", "Improvement", "Fix"]}>
  ## Week of October 3

  ### New: more data in the Person response

  [Person](/api-reference/endpoints/people) returns more of what a LinkedIn profile carries. Every key is present on every response; a value that is not available is empty or `null`.

  * **Test scores:** `test_scores`, with name, score and date.
  * **Profile:** `is_top_voice`, `show_follower_count`, `geo_urn` for the profile's location, and the school of the top education in `current_school_id` and `current_school_urn`.
  * **Roles:** `position_urn`, `geo_urn`, `geo_id`, `total_duration` (for example `4 yrs 10 mos`), `position_group_urn` and `position_group_id` to group the roles held at one company, `is_current`, and the `skills` attached to the role.
  * **Education:** `education_urn`, `is_current`, and the `skills` line LinkedIn shows under an entry.
  * **LinkedIn ids on every list entry:** publications, projects, volunteering, honors, organizations, patents and courses each carry their own URN. Honors, courses, projects and organizations also carry the `position_urn` or `education_urn` of the role or school they are attached to.
  * **Recommendations:** `last_modified_at`.

  ### Improved: the same entry shape in every list

  `recommendations_received`, `recommendations_given`, `also_viewed`, `websites`, `contact_info`, `updates` and `featured` now have one documented entry shape on every request. The [People page](/api-reference/endpoints/people) lists every key, including nested ones, with its type and when it can be `null`, and its example response contains every key.

  * `address` is a string or `null`, never an object.
  * A role dated by year only has a start and end date in the same `M-YYYY` form as every other role, with month `0`: `0-2023`.
  * Language, volunteering, education and project details that were sometimes returned empty are now filled when LinkedIn has them, and language proficiency uses LinkedIn's standard values such as `FULL_PROFESSIONAL`.
  * `similar_profiles` returns a plain list of `{name, url, headline, location, profile_picture, urn}` for every account, and every entry carries all six keys.

  ### Fixed

  * `received_recommendation_count` in `recommendations_data` returned the number of recommendations given instead of received.
  * A certification that expires returned the expiry date as its issue date.
  * The birth year is returned when LinkedIn shows one.

  ### Documented

  The `company_interest_page`, `group_interest_page`, `school_interest_page` and `newsletter_interest_page` parameters, which choose the page of each interest list, are now on the [People page](/api-reference/endpoints/people), and every enrichment field is described down to its nested keys.
